Dear Members & Customers,

We hope everyone has been safe and well over the past year. It has been an unimaginable rollercoaster ride for the entire badminton community throughout this pandemic. Gyms were forced to shut down for numerous months. Kids were only able to train from home over Zoom calls. Businesses suffered with countless revenue losses while still having to pay for expenses out of their own pockets.

Now that the state has decided that on June 15^th, the state will be lifting their county tier restrictions, we are very pleased to finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. With that said, for the South San Francisco location, we will effectively be resuming drop-ins, multi-passes, and all active memberships prior to the March 15^th, 2020 closing, on June 15^th, 2021. For the Milpitas location, drop-ins, multi-passes, and all active memberships prior to the closing, will resume on July 1^st, 2021. For example, if you had 6 months remaining on your membership prior to the closure, your 6 remaining months will effectively begin on June 15, 2021. If you’re not sure of your membership expiration date, we can always check for you as well.

During the county health restricted tiers, we received numerous positive feedbacks and seen many new faces from using the court reservation system. We have decided we will continue to offer court rentals as an alternative option to drop-ins/memberships. If you had an active membership prior to the pandemic, we are offering you the option to convert the remaining months on your membership into credit for court rentals only. However, once it is converted into credit for court rentals, you cannot convert the credit back into a membership. Unfortunately, with the increase in expenses, cleaning/sanitation costs, and rise in inflation, Bay Badminton Center, Inc. must also increase its rates in order to continue providing a safe and clean facility for its badminton community. Please see the new rates below going into effect on June 15^th, 2021.

With the increase in demand for Court Rentals, we will be assigning a few designated courts daily specifically for court reservations only, based on the daily schedule. Reservations must be booked and paid online at least 24 hours prior to the time slot. Up to 6 people max are permitted per court. There is no rotating in/out new players. Players are only permitted to use the court assigned to their court rental. BBC reserves the right to cancel any reservation, if necessary. Challenge Court
We will no longer be offering a designated challenge court. However, you can still create your own challenge court among the six people in your court rental. All court rental restrictions still apply.

Amenities
Showers and water fountains will no longer be provided as covid-19 precautionary measures.
